By the time Ronie James Dio started his solo band in 1982, he was already well regarded for his stints in Rainbow and as the second singer for Black Sabbath. That's probably one of the reasons that Dio was extremely successful right out of the gate. But really thought it's mainly because they wrote amazing records. Sacred Heart, Dio's third album, was released in 1985 peaked at #29 on the Billboard Charts. The Sacred Heart tour featured amazing production, with a huge castle and a real life, 18 feet tall version of the dragon from the album art, lovingly named Denzil. This original Dio two-sided shirt, is from the band's 1985 tour.
