Depeche Mode are a band from Basildon, England. They formed in 1980 and have been active ever since, releasing 14 albums to date. The band plays a synth-driven style of electronic music with dark lyrics and melodies. Depeche Mode's core of Andy Fletcher, Dave Gahan, and Martin Gore has been in tact since the earliest days of the band, with the only main personnel change Alan Wilders' stint with the band that lasted from 1982 until 1995. Depeche Mode released their fifth album Black Celebration in 1986. The album peaked at #4 in the UK and has since been certified Silver in the UK and Gold in the States. This original Depeche Mode shirt, nicely worn and faded with a few light marks, is from the Black Celebration era.
