Cold World are a hardcore band from Wilkes-Barre, PA. Founded in 2003, the group, made up of members of Magnus, Frostbite, and Our Time, played a down-tuned style of hardcore inspired by harder bands from New York and, most notably, pulled in influence from rap. From lyrical and art references to actual scratching on the songs, Cold World were unabashedly doing something different. And it worked. They released two 7"es in 2004, a self-titled EP on Walk All Night Records and Ice Grillz on Lockin Out, which helped usher in a new era of hardcore. They singed to Deathwish Inc. and released two more LPs, all while touring the US and Europe sporadically. While their activity has waned in recent years, their influence on modern hardcore is still apparent. This original Cold World tank top, in great condition, features an illustration of Vaughn Bodē's Cheech Wizard.
