Founded in Scotland in 1979, the Cocteau Twins were a band difficult to catalog. They are a guitar-based band with memorable vocals and atmospheric elements, so what does that make them? It doesn't really matter. The difficulty of fitting Cocteau Twins in a genre didn't stop them from releasing a large discography and earning fans' and critics' praises. They were also crucial in helping to establish the 4AD label and aesthetic. Cocteau Twins would eventually go on to release a few major label records before disbanding in 1997. Heaven or Las Vegas, the band's last record on 4AD was released in 1990 and is regarded as one of the band's best. The album charted at number 99 on the Billboard 200 and at number seven on the UK Albums Charts. This original tee shirt is promoting that very album and is in great condition.
