Civ was a hardcore band from New York City founded in 1994. The group was formed by members of many notable hardcore bands from the late 80s; three of the members, including the titular Civ, were in Gorilla Biscuits, but they also played in such bands as Side By Side, Judge, and Outface. They quickly began releasing 7"s on their longtime label Revelation and were ultimately signed to Lava, a subsidiary of major label Atlantic Records, who released their debut Set Your Goals in 1995. The album was produced by Gorilla Biscuits' guitarist Walter Schreifels, who was also secretly writing most of the material. They followed it up with one more album, Thirteen Day Getaway, before disbanding 2000. Civ has sporadically reunited since then. This original Civ shirt from Revelation Records is in great condition.
