Vintage CIV "Revelation Records" T-Shirt

CIV was a New York Hardcore band started by Anthony "Civ" Civarelli and Arthur Smilios (both of Gorilla Biscuits), Charlie Garriga (of Outface), and Sammy Siegler (of Youth of Today, Side By Side, Project X, Judge, and Rival Schools). The band was essentially Gorilla Biscuits 2.0, as Gorilla Biscuits guitarist Walter Schreifels produced and wrote the band's debut album Set Your Goals, which was released through major label Atlantic Records. While the band adopted a kind of Mod or 50s look - wearing creepers and Fred Perry - they wound up moving forward with the melodic, DC-inspired approach to NYHC that the members were successful with just a fews years prior. This shirt is from the earliest era of the band, when they were releasing 7" singles on Revelation Records before their first LP. Minor fading on the front print.
