Chumbawamba are, antithetically, an anarcho-punk band and a chart-topping rock act. Formed in England in 1982, Chumbawamba were initially featured on a Crass Records compilation, taking a lot of their political and musical influences from the Essex collective. The band began incorporating rave and techno influence into their sound and eventually signed with EMI Records in 1997. This is when they would produce their most popular song, the hit "Tubthumping." This shirt, though, is from 1993, from the single "Timebomb" from their aptly-named album Anarchy released by One Little Indian (which has since changed its name to One Little Independent Records). This original three-sided long sleeve, lightly worn with some ink bleeding on the sleeve and back, features the art from the 7" single and features the quote "I've met clever buggers like you before" on the back, which is also featured on the single layout.
