Jamal Mashburn, aka "Monster Mash," was a professional basketball player. A graduate of University of Kentucky, Mashburn was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks where he would spend the first four years of his career. He was named to the All-Rookie First Team in 1994. In the 1994-1995 season, Mashburn averaged 24.1 points per game and became the fourth youngest player to ever score 50 points in a game. Mashburn was later traded to the Miami Heat, and finally to the Charlotte Hornets who he would relocate with to New Orleans. He retired in 2005.
