CBGBs was a venue in New York City's Lower East Side founded in 1973. The venue's original intention was to be a home to underground music, and they succeeded. The original group of bands that congregated around CBs were The Ramones, Talking Heads, and Blondie to name a few, and as time kept going on they found new bands in every generation to call the venue a home. In the 1980s, they had hardcore matinees every Sunday for the local scene, and they still hosted many of the coolest and best underground bands from all over. Sadly they closed in 2006. This original CBGBs March 1988 calendar flyer, with light discoloration and wear, features many great bands including Die Kreuzen, Token Entry, and more.
