Before Butthole Surfers were, oddly enough, a chart topping rock band, they were a small weirdo band on Alternative Tentacles, the label ran by Dead Kennedy's frontman Jello Biafra. The band, which was formed by Gibby Haynes and Paul Leary in 1981, released their debut EP in 1983. The record was seven songs and just shy of 20 minutes. That short amount of time would go on to kickstart their career, which continues to this day. The record, which is also known as Brown Reason To Live and Pee Pee The Sailor, was cited by Nirvana's Kurt Cobain as one of his favorite records of all time. This original Butthole Surfers shirt from 1983, in great condition with a tiny pin hole near the print, features the album art printed nice and big across the front.
