Brotherhood were a straight edge hardcore band from Seattle, WA. While their time together was short and their output small, the band had a lasting impact on hardcore. Aesthetically and ideologically they were influenced by the newer crop of straight edge bands like Youth Of Today but musically they found a harder sound. Singer Ron Guardipee's voice is a deep impassioned bellow and guitarist Greg Anderson, who went on to found Sunn O))) and Southern Lord Records, plays riffs that are both metallic and tough with lyrics that took the evils of drugs and racism. They only released a 1989 demo and a six-song 7" before calling it quits. Their discography was collected and released posthumously by European label Crucial Response. This original Brotherhood "Fuck Racism" shirt is in great condition with a few light marks.
