In October of 1986, it seemed the Boston Red Sox were on the verge of breaking the decades long Curse of the Bambino, which had been stifling their attempts at a World Series pennant since Babe Ruth left the team for the New York Yankees in 1918. In game six of the '86 series, the Sox were one out away from victory when a ground ball went between Bill Buckner's legs, allowing the Mets to come back and win the game and turn the series around. The curse would last until 2004. This shirt celebrates the Sox historic, if ill-fated, run at the pennant. In great condition with one small hole on the seam near the collar.
