Bob Marley was a reggae musician from Jamaica born in 1945. Marley rose to prominence with his band Bob Marley and the Wailers, who released their debut The Wailing Wailers in 1965. The Wailers enjoyed international success and ended up releasing twelve albums in total. Marley also released solo records, including 1977's Exodus. He died tragically in 1981. A greatest hits album was released posthumously in 84 that would go on to be the best selling reggae album of all time.
