Burning Spirits is used to describe a scene and a sound of Japanese hardcore bands. It refers to a group of bands that play fast, chaotic, and extremely aggressive punk-influenced hardcore and have been doing so for decades now. The name Burning Spirits comes from the annual Japanese tour that began in 1988. In 1992, the tour featured the legendary lineup of Bastard, Tetsu Array, and Death Side, arguably the biggest and most important bands from that scene. This original Burning Spirits tour shirt, in excellent condition, is from the 1992 tour with Bastard, Tetsu Array, and Death Side.
