In 1881, James Anthony Bailey and P.T. Barnum joined forces to create Barnum And Bailey's Circus. Before that point, both men had been operating separate circuses. Barnum And Bailey ran a show with oddities and animals and treats. In 1907, the Ringling Brothers bought B&B and combined all forces in 1919 to create the Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Circus, perhaps the most famous traveling circus in modern history. The entire operation closed in 2017. This vintage Barnum & Bailey circus poster, in great condition, boasts that it's the greatest show on Earth with a picture of a scary tiger.
