Vintage Andy Warhol "MAO" The Corcoran Gallery T-Shirt

Andy Warhol was one of the most prolific artists of the 20th century. His pop art renditions of everything from Campbell's Soup to Marilyn Monroe were equal parts mainstream and subversive. In the 70s, Warhol produced many screen printed portraits, often of famous, celebrity clients who paid top dollar. His portrait of Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong was done in 1973 and would go on to be one of his most famous works. This vintage Andy Warhol "Mao" shirt, with a good amount of marks from prolonged storage, was from a showing at the now-defunct Corcoran Gallery in Washington, DC.
