Alien Workshop is a skateboard company founded in 1990 by Mike Hill, Chris Carter, and legendary pro Neil Blender. The brand was based out of Dayton, OH, which was an odd choice as the entire industry was based in and centered around California. And yet, the Workshop became one of the most interesting and revolutionary brands in the history of skateboarding. Their videos, starting with 1991's Memory Screen, are more like artistic colleges than they are displays of athleticism which caused a massive shift, putting style and substance over skill. While the team grew and changed over time, they notably featured Jason Dill, Anthony Van Engelen, Josh Kalis, Dylan Reider, Jake Johnson, and Rob Dydrek, who ended up buying the brand in 2012. This original Alien Workshop hat from the 1990s has light wear.
