Seattle, WA's Alice In Chains formed in 1987. The band broke through with their grunge scene mates Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden in the early 1990s and became one of the leaders of the new style of rock n roll, one that was equal parts gritty and plainspoken backed by distorted yet virtuosic musicianship. In 1992, AIC released Dirt, their sophomore album, which featured one of the band's hit songs "Sickman." While the track wasn't a single, it became a favorite, partially due to the controversy surrounding the song from its depiction of drug use. Sadly, singer Layne Staley died in 2002, but the band has continued on ever since, replacing Staley with William Duvall in 2006. This original Alice In Chains "Sickman" shirt, nicely worn and faded with a small bleach stain below the print, is a great piece of AIC from the Dirt era.
