Agnostic Front and Madball are both hardcore bands from New York. AF are basically responsible for defining NYHC and Madball is responsible for redefining and proselytizing. Modern hardcore can basically trace all of its roots back to those early shows at CBGBs when these two bands were crafting a hard sound that they would take out on the road to everywhere that would have them bringing the hardcore style all over the globe.
