Vintage Action=Life T-Shirt

Silence=Death was a group formed in 1985 to raise awareness for the AIDS crisis. They created a logo, put it on a poster, and pasted it all over New York City, critiquing the mainstream culture which turned a blind eye. In addition to their initial slogan, they also created Action=Life, a foil attempting to incite people to actually do something. While we are luckily far away from this moment, that era in time is still critically important for LGBTQ rights in this country and across the world. This hopeful Action=Life shirt from the 1980s is lightly worn and faded.
