The American Bicycle Association was founded by Merl Mennenga in 1977. Merl was fed up with the current organization and started his own. Races were organized and people saw how they operated, and within a few years they were one of the biggest BMX racing bodies in the country. In 2011 the ABA joined with the NBL (National Bicycle League) to form the current-day USA BMX. The goal has remained the same since the beginning though: host the best races anywhere. This vintage American Bicycle Association letterman jacket is in great condition with light pilling and discoloration.
