97.1 WASH FM was founded in 1946 and has been Washington, DC's home for adult contemporary for half a century. In the early 80s, the station changed to a Top 40 format and publicized it with the ad campaign "Wash With The Stars." The new style didn't work and they changed back to a full-service station shortly thereafter, and since then they were sold to Clear Channel. This vintage 97.1 FM shirt, lightly worn in great condition, is from WASH's early 80s ad campaign.
