7 Seconds, the legendary positive hardcore band from Reno, NV, released New Wind, their third LP, in 1986 on Better Youth Organization and Positive Youth. The record saw the band expanding their sound, going from a more traditional hardcore approach to one that incorporated elements of different sounds, pulling in from new wave and alternative music alike while still having a decidedly hardcore approach to their music and lyrics. It was partially recorded in Washington, DC with Don Zientara and featured Dischord founders Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson on backups, while the other portion was recorded by Ethan James at his Radio Tokyo studio in LA. This original 7 Seconds poster, in good condition with light corner wear and pinholes, is from the 1986 release of New Wind.
