Save for a few breaks, Iron Butterfly have been playing since 1966. The San Diego band are one of the pioneers of heavy music, with their 1968 mega hit "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" setting a precedent for dark, metallic music early on. Despite not having released any new music since 1975, Iron Butterfly are still an important early American rock band. This vintage Iron Butterfly poster from the band's earliest days 1969, in good condition with normal wear and tear around the edges, features a very literal interpretation of the band's name.
