The television program Howdy Doody ran from 1947 to 1960. The show was at the forefront of both color and children's television. Voiced by Buffalo Bob Smith, Howdy Doody was a red-haired and freckled puppet who had a bunch of puppet friends. The original puppet is now located at the Detroit Institute Of Arts, with the backup belonging to the Smithsonian National Museum Of American History. This vintage Howdy Doody shirt, in great condition, features a great portrait of our puppet friend.
