Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a 1994 horror movie. Wes Craven, of course, is the writer and director of the legendary horror movie A NIghtmare On Elm Street, and while the movie is indeed a part of its lineage it's slightly different from the rest of the films, as you can tell by the title. The movie shows series villain Freddy Kreuger entering the "real" world and coming for the people making the movies about him. While it's still a horror movie, New Nightmare plays wth the entire genre, which in turn made a movie that is self aware and all the more scary for it. This original Wes Craven's New Nightmare promotional shirt is nicely worn in.
