Vintage Weezer '95 "If It's Too Loud Turn It Down" Long Sleeve Shirt

Weezer are an alternative rock group from Los Angeles, CA founded in 1992. They were quickly signed by DGC and released their debut, self-titled album, informally known as the Blue album due to its blue cover, in 1994. The world was still coming down from grunge and was a few years away from the pop punk takeover, and so Weezer offered an alternative: fuzzed-out, pop influenced songs written and played by quirky nerds. The Blue album, which was produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars, was a chart-topping, Platinum-selling success, quickly making the band a household name. They followed the album with their sophomore effort, Pinkerton, in 1996. They started to shift away from the pop palatability they were known for and embraced a stranger, darker side. At the time, it didn't go over well with critics. Eventually, the band went on hiatus in 1997 while supporting Pinkerton. Bassist Matt Sharp left the band, but a few years later the remaining members Rivers Cuomo, Brian Bell, and Patrick Wilson picked it back up and have continued the band ever since, still writing and releasing popular songs to fans all across the world. However, many still regard that early era as the band's best. This original Weezer shirt from 1995 is nicely worn and lightly faded.
