The Evening Star was evening paper from the Washington Star's, a DC-based newspaper that ran for over a century, from 1852 to 1981. The Star was DC's leading paper for a period before they were overshadowed by The Washington Post, but during it's heyday, they were responsible for great writing and reporting. In the 60s, the Civil Rights movement was in full force with some of the most important moments happening in The Star's backyard. This vintage Stanley Desantis shirt, deadstock in excellent condition, features an illustration of the August 28, 1963 paper and a great Martin Luther King headline.
