Vintage Peter Max "Race Against Time" 1988 Sport Aid T-Shirt

Sport Aid was an athletics-based charity focused on ending African famine. The first iteration was held in 1986 and was a world-wide 10k race which they dubbed "Race Against Time." They hosted events in Europe, Australia, and the United States with over 20 million runners raising awareness and money. The same event was held again in 1988, with a race being held on September 11. The race that year was a 5k and also featured celebrity contestants like Madonna, Sting, and Steve Winwood. In addition to the race that year they also released a video game. However, the second iteration lost money and the race never happened again. This original Sport Aid 1988 shirt, in great condition, features an illustration from world-renowned pop artist Peter Max.
