In 2000, Pantera, the Texas heavy metal band, released Reinventing The Steel, their ninth album. Pantera formed nearly two decades before, and in that time they went from a glam metal group to one of the grittiest and most popular heavy metal acts ever. Reinventing The Steel followed that trajectory. The album went to #4 on the Billboard Charts and the band followed it up with significant touring. However, two years later, Pantera called it quits due to internal differences. And then, unthinkably, guitarist Dimebag Darrell was shot in 2004 at a show with his post-Pantera band, Damageplan. Thus, Reinventing The Wheel became Pantera's final album, and the subsequent tours their final ever tours. They are still regarded as one of the best and most iconic heavy music acts of all time. This original Pantera shirt, deadstock in excellent condition with original tags still attached, is from the band's tour in support of their final album in 2000, Reinventing The Steel.
