The Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team have always been well regarded. Under coach John Thompson Jr., though, they flourished. They made the NCAA Tournament 20 times, the Final Four three times, and won the Championship once. The 80s were a particularly fruitful time for the team. The Hoyas had Patrick Ewing, Reggie Williams, and by the end of the decade there was Alonzo Mourning and Dikembe Mutombo. This design was a team exclusive, made to be worn so that they could show off the cool Nikes on the sleeve even if they were wearing a jersey. This shirt in particular came from the estate of a Georgetown basketball coach.
