Vintage Max Yasgur "Woodstock" T-Shirt

Max Yasgur was a dairy farmer. He had 650 cows on 600 acres in Bethel, NY. While the farm was an important asset for Sullivan County, NY, his celebrity status didn't come from his milk. Yasgur's farm was rented in August of 1969 to host the Woodstock festival. The move was controversial in the neighborhood, even Yasgur allegedly disagreed with the politics of many of the guests, but he thought it was important to help ease the tension between his generation and the younger attendees. The rental made Max a star, but sadly he passed away just two years later. This vintage Max Yasgur shirt from the early 1990s, nicely worn, is a tribute to the host of the original Woodstock Festival.
