After the 1990 release of Like A Prayer, her fourth album, Madonna embarked on the "Blond Ambition" tour. The tour was over 50 shows, running from April to August. Despite some damning comments from some uptight squares like the Pope, the tour was a huge success. It featured legendary and iconic sets and outfits, an HBO broadcast, and, of course, many of Madonna's most popular songs brought to life live in front of thousands of fans every single night.
