Don Ed Hardy, the legendary tattooer and artist, started the tattoo shop Tattoo City in San Francisco's Mission District in 1977. The shop had the simple goal of creating great tattoos, and two locations later it still has the same goal today. And so in order to do so they always had fellow tattooers working there who were serious and well-studied in their craft. One such artist that came through Tattoo City was Jef Whitehead, who was also a member of such bands as Leviathan and Twilight. This original Tattoo City shirt, nicely faded and worn in, features art from Jef Whitehead.
