Annie Leibovitz, the photographer, began working at Rolling Stone in 1970. She was promoted to the Chief Photographer position three years later. During her tenure, she became one of the most important and well-regarded photographers in the country, regularly shooting the biggest celebrities, musicians, and pop culture icons. In 1999, Leibovitz organized a photo show entitled Women which she also turned into an influential book. It was a simple idea: just show portraits of women. The show came to Washington, DC the year of the project's release at the Corcoran Gallery Of Art. This original shirt, with a few marks and spots, is from the Annie Leibovitz Women show at the Corcoran Gallery Of Art in 1999.
