Vintage Adidas Trefoil "University Of Pennsylvania" Penn Relays Rainbow T-Shirt

The University Of Pennsylvania was founded in 1740. The Ivy League school was founded by Benjamin Franklin and has obviously changed a lot since its inception, although many of the larger institutional changes that higher education has gone under originate with U Penn, as they are considered to be the first university and also tried to implement the first liberal arts curriculum. Now, in the modern era, U Penn is home to to a small, select group of some of the nation's top students, studying in any number of fields across their "one university" program. They are regularly ranked as one of the country's best schools. But it's not just all academics. Penn is also home to the Penn Relays, a track and field competition that dates back to 1895. Now, over a century later, the race is still held but with tens of thousands of people watching on. In fact, the race is credited as popularizing the relay format to begin with. This vintage Penn Relays shirt from the 1980s, with a few marks on the sleeve and collar, features a great Adidas rainbow trefoil back print.
