NYC Mayhem were, as their name implies, a hardcore band from New York. They were founded in 1985 and played a chaotic and ultra fast style of hardcore. Their tenure was extremely short but they still managed to produce two demos during their time together. Due to the brevity of their songs, they were able to write an impressive amount of material. Although most of it never saw the light of day until Radio Raheem reissued their material on 12" in 2014. Bassist Craig Setari and drummer/singer Tommy Carroll notably went on to be members of the legendary Straight Ahead, a more straight-forward hardcore band that implemented moments of fast, NYC Mayhemian madness, as well as being the short-lived rhythm section to Youth Of Today. This original NYC Mayhem shirt was partially dyed blue and is in great condition.
