Devo are a new wave band founded in 1973 by a group of students at Kent State University. After making some waves with some singles and a documentary, the group signed to Warner Bros in 1978 and released their Brian Eno-produced debut Q: Are We Not Men? A: We are Devo! Since then, the band has continued on, writing strange and satirical songs that have often skirted with mainstream success, like 1980's "Whip It," but they have always been massively influential to a myriad of musicians and artists for their stylish yet oddball nature. This original Devo shirt, with paint marks throughout, references the first track off their debut LP.
