Vintage Dead Kennedys "Frankenchrist" Promo Poster

Punk hardcore band Dead Kennedys formed in 1978. They were a political band, using singer Jello Biafra's satirical and humorous lyrics to expose various problems both in their home state of California and abroad.Dead Kennedys were quickly recognized as one of the best and most important bands in punk. They released their third LP Frankenchrist on their own Alternative Tentacles Records in 1985. The record perhaps became best known for its controversy, even if it he cover was old Shriners in little cars. The record included art by H.R. Giger that was so explicit that Jello was taken to court by the state of California for distributing harmful material to minors. The DKS broke up the next year after releasing one more album. They notably reformed without Jello Biafra on vocals after Jello lost a lawsuit from previous members. This original Dead Kennedys poster, folded but in great condition with a small tear along one crease, is for their third album Frankenchrist.
