After one of the best sets at Posi Numbers 2004, where people were legit hanging from the rafters of The Zoo like they were children on the monkey bars, Desperate Measures broke up. Even though they were only a band for a short period of time, they had momentum and a following. Almost immediately after the break up, former members started a new band with a DM roadie singing. They called it Lion Of Judah and they released their demo in 2004, the same year their previous band broke up. It was still hardcore but it was different, slightly faster with more overtly political lyrics and more intricate guitar licks. LOJ followed it up with a 7" on Lockin Out and an LP on Youngblood and was entitled Universal Peace and was released in 2006. It was recorded at Inner Ear Studios with Don Zientara. As you'd expect, they toured extensively on the album, going all over the States as well as to Europe, where Powered Records helped release the LP. They played for a few more years and released one more 7" on Youngblood before wrapping things up as members started another band: Give. Lion Of Judah have played sporadically again in recent times. This original Lion Of Judah shirt, lightly worn, is from the release of Universal Peace. Fits like an XL but please refer to our measurements for exact sizing.
