Genöcide was a band from New Jersey who were quite active in the 1980s. Their sound rode the line between 80s hardcore and primitive heavy metal. They would play with punk bands at the Pyramid Club in New York City and other Jersey metal bands all across the state. Unlike many other press kits, this one is homemade, with newspaper clippings, crude handwriting, and blown out photocopies. The purpose is the same though - promote the record, book a gig, and make enough money to drive back home to Jersey. This press kit dates to the 1987 release of their debut full length Submit to Genocide. This kit contains pieces of paper: Five 8.5 x 11" sheets and one small handbill.
