Turning Point were a straight edge hardcore band from New Jersey. They formed in 1988 and over the course of their short tenure they released a demo, a 7", an LP, and a split, along with a few comp appearances. Their earliest material, which was released by Darren Walters's Hi Impact Records, was influenced by bands like Youth Of Today, with fast, aggro songs about about betrayal. They evolved into something all their own as time went on. TP began to incorporate more melodic elements into their music with introspective and vulnerable lyrics, which was best documented on their only LP, 1990'sIt's Always Darkest... Before The Dawnon New Age Records. They broke up in 1991 and members went on to play in different bands, but Turning Point only grew in popularity after their split. This lot of vintage Turning Point flyers, both on aged paper in great condition, are from early in the band's career, when they were just releasing their debut 7" on Hi Impact Records.
