The Misfits are a punk band from Lodi, NJ. They were one of the first and most important groups in the early American hardcore scene, known for creating a singular aesthetic based on old horror movies and oldies music. Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankestein was the band's third guitarist, the younger brother of bassist Jerry Only. He started playing with them in 1980, appearing on almost all of their recorded material as well as touring all over with them. Doyle and Jerry started the band back up again in 1995, after a stint in Kryst The Conqueror, and are still with the Misfits today, now featuring Glenn Danzig on vocals again. The Doyle Fan Club was founded in 1987 by Doyle and Jerry to stay in touch with Misfits fans, later turning it into the Fiend Club in 1995.
