Vintage Nirvana "DGC Records" Joe Giron Photo Poster

Nirvana was a grunge band formed in Aberdeen, WA in 1987. The band was formed by bassist Krist Novoselic and guitarist/singer Kurt Cobain. The two ran through a long line of drummers before landing on Dave Grohl in the early 90s after they released their debut album Bleach. With their new lineup in tact, the trio went on to release Nevermind on DGC in 1991. The album was a massive sea change. The hair metal bands of the late 80s were obsolete nearly over night. Gone were the days of teased hair and tight clothing, it was now the slightly weird, reject kids wearing slightly baggy plaid clothes turn. The album has since sold over ten million copies in the US alone. They released their followup In Utero in 1993, another multi-Platinum album. Tragically, Cobain died only a year after the album's release. This original Nirvana poster, with edge wear and surface creasing, features a nice portrait of the band's best known lineup.
