Minor Threat were a hardcore band from Washington, DC. Formed in 1980 after the break up of the short lived Teen Idles, Minor Threat — featuring singer Ian MacKaye, guitarist Lyle Preslar, bassist Brian Baker, and drummer Jeff Nelson — were one of the most important of the new crop of USHC bands, and, simply put, one of the best bands of all time. They released two 7" EPs, a self-titled record andOut Of Step, and a 12" EP,Out of Step, before their break up in 1983 and posthumously released one more 7",Salad Days, all through their own Dischord Records. The band did multiple full US tours and members later went on to play in bands like Fugazi, Embrace, Three, Bad Religion, Samhain, and Junkyard. This original Minor Threat flyer, in excellent condition, is from the band's show with Youth Brigade and Ohio legends Necros at Obanion's in Chicago on August 3.
