Vintage Meat Puppets "Out My Way 1986" Show Poster

The Meat Puppets are a weirdo rock band from Phoenix, AZ founded in 1980. The band was founded by the Kirkwood brothers, Curt and Cris, and was quickly signed to SST Records. However, they eschewed the typical punk formula and kept going further and further into their own world, bringing in country influences to what would be called cow punk. In 1986, the band released the EP Out My Way, a six-song record of hard rock tunes. Save for a few short breaks, the band has continued into the present day, having released over a dozen albums and having a little popularity bump after Nirvana covered them on MTV's Unplugged. This original Meat Puppets show poster, in great condition with surface marks throughout, is from the band's show in support of Out My Way on May 15, 1986 with Peyote Cowboys and Eat.

Dimensions: 24" Wide by 18" Long
