Vintage Heart Attack Stalag 13 MIA Jerry's Kidz Justice League Child Hoods "Sun Valley Sportsman Hall" Show Flyer

Heart Attack was one of the earliest hardcore bands from New York City. Fronted by Jesse Malin, they played a fast and unforgiving style that helped codify how hardcore was different than punk. They released their first 7" God Is Dead in 1981 and released two more EPs before breaking up in 1984. During their stint, when hardcore was spreading throughout the US in cities across the country, they wound up playing a show in California's Sun Valley, a small area in Los Angeles. There, they played alongside M.I.A., originally from Las Vegas, moved to Orange County and released records with Alternative Tentacles; Stalag 13, an early Nardcore band; Jerry's Kidz (misspelled here), a band from Albuquerque, NM not to be confused with the Boston band; Justice League, the pre-Chain Of Strength band; and Child Hoodz, a punk band from LA. The show was booked by 12XU, a promotion company who painted themselves in opposition to fellow punk promoters Goldenvoice. This was surely a legendary show, and while we can't relive it we can remember it through the amazing art on this original flyer. This original Heart Attack flyer, in great condition with light wear, is from their show on March 11 at the Sun Valley Sportman's Hall in California with M.I.A., Stalag 13, Jerry's Kidz, Justice League, and Child Hoodz.
