The Flaming Lips, the Oklahoma City psych rock weirdos, released Hit To Death In The Future Head in 1992. It was their debut major label release, after spending the first decade of the band releasing records on various independent labels. While they had the backing of a multinational conglomerate, they still went about things as normal, touring and bringing their music to people live. On December 12, 1992, the band played the world famous CBGB in New York City, the same venue where The Ramones, Blondie, and The Talking Heads got their start. This original Flaming Lips poster, in great condition, is from their show at CBGBs on December 12, 1992.
