Dark Angel, the southern California thrash metal band, release Darkness Descends, their sophomore album, in 1986. The record was released by Combat, the New York-based aggressive music label that was founded only a few years prior. It is still widely considered to be their best release to this day, combining elements of thrash with some darker sounds, which since have been cited as major influences for death and doom metal. This original Dark Angel flyer, with a few marks and surface creasing, promotes the release of 1986's Darkness Descends.
