The Cro-Mags are a hardcore band from New York City. Bassist Harley Flanagan and guitarist Parris Mayhew formed the band in the early 1980s but it didn't take the shape that we all think of until the mid 80s when they were joined by singer John Joseph. It was this lineup, along with drummer Mackie Jayson and guitarist Doug Holland (of Kraut), that released their 1986 debut The Age Of Quarrel, which helped cement the NYHC sound and proved to be one of the best, if not the best, record from that scene. The band continued on with various lineups for some time, recording and touring with some sort of regularity into the modern era. In the late 1990s, the band went to Europe with Boston straight edge hardcore band In My Eyes. This original Cro-Mags poster, with surface creasing, corner wear, and pinholes, is from a French date on their European tour with In My Eyes.
